The Master Plan is regarded as a vision of the DePaul campus of the future and as a guideline which will ensure that the vision becomes reality. The plan sets forth as a focus of shared aspirations for the entire university community.

For over a century, DePaul University’s development as an educational institution has been intertwined with the growth and expansion of the City of Chicago. DePaul’s mission – academic excellence, service to the community, access to education and respect for the individual – is fundamental to its relationship with the people of Chicago. Under the leadership of IPM founder, Kenneth A. McHugh, DePaul University has an outstanding record of experience and success to the development of mixed-use and institutional projects. The university unquestionably been at the forefront of development throughout the City of Chicago and is able to contribute a tremendous level of knowledge to any project, particularly as it relates to building institutional quality student housing.
